The Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health at the University of California, San Francisco, is seeking Professional Researchers to conduct research and data analysis on studies related to alcohol and drug use during pregnancy and public health approaches to abortion care, family planning studies and/or abortion research.

Research and administrative staff

The Project Director is responsible for the implementation of multiple research projects on complex reproductive health issues, specifically the telemedicine abortion study, the Young People’s Sexual and Reproductive Empowerment project and other reproductive health studies as additional opportunities arise. The particular focus will be research on an innovative distribution study for medication abortion through telemedicine and supporting the development of new measures of the sexual and reproductive empowerment of young adults (SHREYA scale).

Experience with Black/African American, Latinx or Native American communities is a plus.

This position will be based in the ANSIRH research office in Oakland, California.

The Project Director leads and directs the development and implementation of projects and research studies for: the Public Health Approaches to Abortion project, the Drug and Alcohol Pregnancy Policy Studies project, and the Evaluation of Abortion Restrictions Project along with other Advancing New Standards in Reproductive Health (ANSIRH) projects. He/she will represent the projects to a variety of external partners including collaborators, administrators, providers, and others.
